Description
The dark-coloured Gouds Plate 'Laila' has a typical Art Nouveau decoration. Laila' is Persian for tulip, which shape can also be recognised in the decors. Inspired by the shiny Gouda plateel, this collection was given the characteristic whiplash or S-line of around 1905. The models used for this series come from the Goedewaagen-Distel and Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland past and go back in part to 1902.
