Description

Palace Drakensteijn, located in the municipality Baarn, is a private possession of princess Beatrix. Therefore the palace is not open to public. The palace was sold to princess Beatrix in 1959. She lived her happiest years here from 1963 till 1981. In 2013 the princess abdicated and moved to palace Drakensteijn in 2014 again. The palace was entirely renovated in 2006.
Royal Goedewaagen created ceramic miniatures of the different palaces in the Netherlands, which are traditionally hand-painted in Blue Delft or Polychrome.
